Known for more than his mouthwatering recipes, Big Dad was a proud Clemson football player, a WWII hero, and a loving husband for over 60 years. But most of all, he was the inspiration behind the slow-smoked BBQ traditions we still serve today.

Big Dad believed in doing things right: “Do what you love, and do it better than anybody else.”
